From December 15 to 22nd of December the Bengaluru citizens would get wide range films that are made in the international standards.

4th Bengaluru International Film Festival will be celebrated in grandeur. There might be several others in the country but this one will be top of all stated the Karnataka chief minister DV Sadananda Gowda addressing the media at Krishna on Tuesday evening after unveiling the logo of the film festival.

As many as 180 films will be available and maximum pass will be Rs.500 and for students it is Rs.100 and for Kannada film industry personalities it will be Rs.200.

The Karnataka Chalanachitra Academy organizing this for the government of Karnataka will have two vital awards for the world cinema. Award in the name of government of Karnataka will be Golden Berunda that is for the best film carries Rs.10 lakhs and best director would get Silver Berunda Rs.5 lakhs.

There is Asian Cinema Award of Rs. 2 lakh in the name of Karnataka Film Chamber of commerce, Chitrabharathi – Indian cinema given in the name of Suchitra Sanman of Rs.2 lakhs and Kannada cinema award in the name of Karnataka Chalanachitra Academy that carries Rs.2 lakh.

Karnataka chief minister urged the film makers in Karantaka to go for more quality based films and said 4th Biffe is a platform for audience to watch best quality films.

The government has taken up Video piracy Act and it has to get the nod of President of India. Like seven other bills this is also pending with the President of India stated the Karnataka chief minister. The chief minister also listed the facilities given so far for Kannada cinema industry and separate fund of Rs.2.5 crores set for this festival.

In all 13 committee have been set up to better functioning of the 4th BIFFES stated the chief minister.

At the same media conference the Kannada and culture minister Karejola stated there is no dearth for funds. The additional Rs.50 lakhs is not a big issue as raised by Karnataka Chalanachitra Academy Chairman TS Nagabharana. At the same time sponsors are also important for this type of activities felt the minister.
